Bioforme began with a fascination with the human body: its peculiarities, its contradictions, its capacity to change, and the extraordinary things we make of it.

My background lives at the intersection of clinical anaplastology and fine art. I hold a master's degree in Clinical Anaplastology from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and an MFA in Painting and Sculpture. For years, I've worked with the human form in two very different ways: restoring what has been lost through custom prosthetics, and exploring everything else through art.

One practice asks how closely we can recreate the body. The other asks what happens when we stop trying to make it make sense.

Bioforme is where those questions meet.

Here, anatomy becomes a starting point rather than a set of rules. The familiar gets a little unfamiliar. Clinical precision meets artistic instinct and a sense of humor, and the beautiful is allowed to be a bit bizarre. I make objects, images, and wearable things that draw from the body, natural history, medical curiosities, and the wonderfully strange business of being human.

Some pieces are delicate. Some are delightfully unsettling. Others exist somewhere between an anatomical specimen, a surrealist daydream, and something you might find in the cabinet of a particularly interesting doctor.

Every piece begins with curiosity and an appreciation for the details that make an object feel alive: the curve of a surface, the weight of a material, the peculiar beauty of an imperfection. Whether I'm sculpting, casting, drawing, or experimenting with a new form, I'm interested in work that invites a second look.
